![]() Since there has been demand from numerous forum members for us to have a group buy for this item. . .it's finally here! Group buy for Forge Motorsport intercooler for 1M Coupe & N55 equipped 335i What it is: ![]() ![]() ![]() This uprated intercooler has been designed for the BMW 335 equiped with the N55 (single turbo), and 1M equiped with the N54 (twin turbo) 6 cylinder engine. The criteria was to achive maximum efficiency whilst retaining a simple fitment. With Forge's testing results indicating increased cooling of up to 30 degrees centigrade and the ability to install this on your driveway at home in under one hour, we have just what we wanted. Virtually zero modification necessary to install on your vehicle, this item utilizes OEM coupler with OEM snap-rings for a perfect seal every time! The deposit will be a non-refundable $50.00 and can be paid via PayPal, a major credit card via a call to the shop, or in person for those local to us in the Orlando area. 6.5% sales tax applies to Florida residents. Our paypal address is paypal@precision-sport.com. Shipping of product depend on what number you are on the list. The first run of this item is scheduled to arrive stateside in a couple short weeks, and will arrive in batches. Intercooler will ship to you as soon as list has reached ten (10) and your order is payed in full. Are FMIC upgrades a noticeable upgrade? I know it lowers your BATs, but will that alone improve performance? Or do you need a tune that raises the PSI a bit? (I'm interested in joining this GB, but I'm on the fence about whether this is a noticeable upgrade?)

Just about ready to put my name on the list and put down the deposit. I do have some technical questions. One being how does the size and overall efficiency of this FMIC compare to say the one from CP-E, Evolution Raceworks, and Evolve? My plan is to upgrade the FMIC, and some time after get 3" catless DP's, BOV, charge pipe, and a stage 2 tune from either Evolve or GIAC. Just want to make sure I am getting the best parts for the car to make good power while running safe and increasing efficiency. Would appreciate some input prior to taking the plunge on this (or any other) FMIC...

To take full advantage of a FMIC upgrade, you would need a tune. That said, when installed without a tune, you will still see a noticeable power gain. Cooler air and less restriction will always make more power.
