Current Port Wait Time in Bremerhaven

Does anyone know how long cars are sitting at the Port in Bremerhaven before they get on a ship?

Mine only sat for 2 days. The time varies though.

Mine was at the port for 5 days. Depending on your port of destination - I am assuming it is Baltimore - you can see the schedule of w&w ships that will leave Bremerhaven for the US and stop at your port. I think it can be said with reasonable surety that your car will be on the next ship or the one after once it reaches the port at Bremerhaven.

My car just got to the dealer last Thursday. I haven't picked it up yet. Scheduled pick up for this Thursday. Should be exciting !

BMWtheOne So exciting you get to pick up your car soon! Post photos when you get a chance.

There are two ships leaving this week. One of them left today, so obviously my car isn't on that one. Another one leaves Thursday. If I'm not on that, there is one that leaves on the 11th. At any rate, I'm hoping I can take delivery by the last Saturday in June since I'll be headed out of town July 1. Fingers crossed!

By the way guys, once your car arrived to the US port, how long was it in the processing center before being transported to your local dealer?

Morrisryan - I am your knight in shining armor - the only one here with good news haha )

My car waited 5 days at Bremerhaven and approx 2 business days at the Baltimore port before being released to the transportation company.

It arrived at the Baltimore port Saturday afternoon (before memorial day) and was released to the transportation company Tuesday. Was picked up by precision auto company on Wednesday and arrived at the dealer Wednesday (5/30) itself.

So it's pretty quick. I hope the same for you !

Great info BMWtheone! Nice to know that my car won't be sitting at Baltimore that long. Now if it can just get on a ship quickly, I might be able to take it on vacation!

The port wait time with no updates is killing me! My car has been at the port since the 31st of May. It has missed two boat rides across the pond so far. There is one scheduled for tomorrow (15th June) and another a day after that (June 16th). Hopefully it gets on one of those. Both ships that sail on the 15th & 16th arrive on the same day, June 27th to the Baltimore port. Doesn't look like I'll be driving my car on vacation. Oh well...

Ok, looks like my car got on the Parsifal cargo ship on June 16. So, it was sitting at the port for 15 days. It should arrive to Baltimore on June 27. My CA is telling me it will take about 7 days for processing of the vehicle and then 8 hours at the dealership for final prep. Hopefully it will get through the port really quickly and somehow ready by Saturday, June 30th at the dealer. I know dealers don't like to deliver cars on the weekend since that is their busiest sales time and they leave deliveries for weekdays.

Oh and by the way, it took two days for the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site to update with the cargo info. The BMW site still says that production has finished, but doesn't reflect the car on it's way to the U.S.
