Want to go real low, but not rub - Whats my best bet
Gents,
Looking to lower the car, but not have the possibility of rubbing. I may get wheels (19's) in the near future. What is my best bet for lowering the car? Street use only, and Im pleased with the performance of this stock suspension (so I dont need anything crazy, just want a nice drop). thanks, jb |

I suggest go with the rims first with the proper offset if not both at the same time. That way, you'll know how low you can go.

I always go with coilovers. Properly matched spring rates with dampers plus ride height adjustability. You can never go wrong.

Most go with KW V1's or ST Coilovers. For sure they ride stiffer than the stock suspension, but not anywhere near too stiff/harsh to me.

This low?
![]() I have 19x8.5 et 45 front 235 tyre 19x9.5 et 50 Rear 255 tyre Running KW V1 (comfortable for street and much better then stock, not good enough for track use IMO) This rubs over big bumps at this height, however with some light guard rolling and running a 225 front instead of a 235 it would be perfect |

Everything I read - ppl say ST's = KW, and they are the same company (which is true), however, they differ in weight by ALMOST 10 lbs (FWIR). That being said, different materials/components must be at play, and they cannot be equivalent (price alone tells me this) I think Im going KW. Thanks guys. Best Price I have found is 1286.49 - anyone do better? |

I definitely paid less than that but I had bought a good bit from the company (Gravity Auto, but I don't think they are around anymore) and it was 3 yrs ago. Seems a good price to me.
