Best order for mods?

I ordered a 2013 135i M sport a while ago and have been thinking about mods while I wait. After reading what seems like a million threads, I think I have finally decided what I will upgrade, but I am unsure of the best order. Here is what I have so far:

Day 1:
- black kidney grills
- remove CDV flow restrictor

Future:
- M3 rear subframe bushing
- M3 front control arms
- Bilstein HD dampers
- non-runflat tires (225/255)
- 18" Alufelgen CS7 (maybe)
- PPK 1

I am planning to wait until the stock tires are worn out before I go to non-runflats. It seems like this would be the best time to upgrade the dampers, but I am unsure about the rest of the suspension components.

You can probably save a few dollars if you replaced the bushings and coilovers at the same time. If you plan on doing it in steps, I would suggest replacing the sway bar at the same time you change out your wheels & tires. Then when you install the coilovers and subframe bushings, consider pulling the pin in the strut tower and installing camber plates...even if they are just the Dinan fixed camber plates. This will pay for itself as it will save the outer edge of you front tires.

Yes, especially the dampers and control arms.

I suspect (although I am not certain) that you will not be able to get everything done by one shop, unless you have BMW do it all for a big labor charge. So would there really be any savings? Also, you may find that you like the ride quality without doing everything on your list. I can see no reason not to do it in stages. Just my thoughts......

I just bought :

BMW-PS
Bilstein HD's
M3 control arms
E92 Sway Bar
M3 Subframe bushings
Continental Extreme DW tires - 225/255 (preferred Michelin PSS but got good deal on Continentals)
Continental ContiComfort Kit (since we have no spare)

Anyway, the shop I am using said that the springs/dampers and control arms being installed together would save me money. Subframe bushings will be expensive labor anyway so not sure if anything will be saved by doing that at the same time.

Not sure where in CA you are located but LTBMW has the price list on their website for install charges and are very reasonable. FWIW, they quoted me like $900 to install M3 front end components, coilovers, camber plates, m3 front sway, and m3 rear bushings. Of course that doesn't include the cost of the components.. haha.

I suggest:
1) New rims and Non-RFT tires from day 1.
2) Drive the car for a few months before deciding which suspension mods to get.

You will probably want to upgrade the shocks and struts as a minimum. If you decide to get M3 front arms, it makes sense to do suspension at the same time. You will probably want a stiffer front stabiliser bar in that case too.

Your future mod list looks really good, but I wouldn't do any of it until you get rid of the rft's. I sold my rft's and oe wheels after one year and the first thing I did was get rid of the underdamped shocks.
