BG 44k or Chevron Techron Concentrated Plus?

Some of the guys on e90 tried it on n54/n54 with good results. Getting some start up rough idle, might give this a try. Narrow down to 2 product, has anyone tried it?

Love Techron and use it in all my cars. Buy it at Costco for $15 for a 6 pack.

As a fuel additive? Because either wont do anything for the carbon buildup.

yea but it will clean the injectors

almost done with the techron in my tank, definitely smother response

How often are you using it?

I used a bottle every 2500 miles or so with my E36... Probably the same for my 1...

I use Lubro Moly Jectron fuel injector cleaner once a month. Seems to keep the car running perfect.

I put a bottle in every 2-3 months. Have been using it in all cars, never a problem.

The BMW Fuel System cleaner used "Techron Technology", I run a bottle of it in my bimmers about once every other month.

I have the same problem! at start up, the car shakes a bit much.. it happened for a few days about 6 months ago then it was quiet for a while and now I have the same problem again.
Btw, how do you clean carbon build up?

How much they charge for a bottle of that? I'll bet its a lot more than the same Chevron techron you can get for a lot cheaper outside a stealer.

The last time I used Chevron Techron, was about 15 years ago in my Porsche 944 Turbo. I guess the stuff works... but in that car what I noticed as I would get onto boost(14.5 psi max)... you could hear some ignition ping and feel the engine have reduced power(slightly). I always fed that car Sunoco 94. I am not really a big fan of Chevron Techron - bc of that ping. While it does clean carbon buildup... I feel it must reduce the octane some what. I also used BG's 44K fuel cleaners on that same car... never felt or heard any changes. Then again... I never had any running issues with that car either. It was "chipped" and made 285 Hp from 2.5L four. Stock was 220 Hp.
