Does the film really protect the bumper from scratches, dings, dimples, chips etc. I can see the hood/fenders/mirrors more benefiting from an extra protective layer from objects glancing off the car but for the bumper whatevers flying through the air is going to hit it head on. Will it actually save the bumper or when u take off the clear bra in a couple years theres all the dings etc probably just saving the paint. The reason I ask is the price difference between the std kit that does hood, fenders, mirrors and the deluxe (double the price) which does the std kit and the whole front bumper.

thoughts, experiences anyone?

Yes you can have a whistle. I had it done on my Cayenne mirrors and had to remove from mirrors. It depends from car to car, some will whistle, some won't.
