Yea - that sounds like a great setup. Did you upgrade the deck or install a high-low convertor.

You can also recode the base decks to hifi output

Have you done the upgrade yourself?
If not, can you recommend install place around Chicagoland?

Thanks

Alpine retrofit to 2011 135i

I have had the Alpine retrofit to my car. The quality of the sound is fantastic. It was dealer fitted. However the volume level of the sound coming out of the 4 inch speakers in the doors is remarkably lower than the volume level coming out of the tweeters. Is this what has been experienced by others? The sound is great but it didn't seem right that the door speakers could hardly be heard over the tweeters. The dealer didn't have an answer and had nothing else to compare it to. It was the first retrofit installed by them. Any comments from retrofit owners appreciated. Thanks.

My guess would be the 4" drivers a wired "out of phase" ie: the polarity of the +/- wires is wrong on one of them. This would cause them to effectively cancel each other out.
