Road trip/touring Florida (from MN) - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

I'm planning a road trip in the 1er to FL and my goal is to end up at a nice beach. I'd like to spend the majority of my time eating/drinking maybe going to a few bars/clubs. I'm looking for any suggestions or ideas for places to see and/or things to do...pretty much anything and everything.
Probably spend a week or two chillaxin...first place that comes to my mind is miami..but I'd like to just go with the flow, where ever it takes me

Hotels, restaurants, bars, beaches, shops etc.. anything you guys recommend would be appreciated.

also... are there any auto-crosses scheduled in early to mid sept?
