Nothing boring about the stock 1M wheels... They are pure BMW! The BBS are beautiful, but not representative of BMW IMO |

Noting one of your drivers to buy was weight, great choice Sparoz
Personally IF I was serious (this is me remember, and I will probably never track my cars) about tracking I would have went 18's in a similar style or just the M3 stock 18's in black, tyres are way cheaper after all. Nice setup, awesome car irrespective! |

I'm pretty sure it will fit on e92 no problems. I remember running aggressive offsets and widths on mine when I had it.

Ordered today:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=704856 Not exactly a mod, but it would be a great addition to the car. Thanks Sam from Alekshop organising this for me. I have ordered the Canbus version which has a much higher frequency rate then the obdII port. Alekshop has prepared a harness so it would be just plug and play from our end, without the need to find an installation shop to splice wires etc. I know I said I am not going to have much cosmetics mods, but I have ordered the Mcgard Black Bolts set to replace the semi dodgy looking once came with the BBS. Looking at Black front and side grills from iND at the moment as well. Need to keep myself entertained whilst waiting on my brakes .

Have my black grille installed on the weekend, and thanks Stu @ BMR for the quick delivery. Still waiting on side grilles from Alekshop. Will put some pictures up once the side grilles are in.
I do have a set back yesterday with Engine mods as I heard back from the company who makes one of the key component needed to run high boost @ high rpm w/ high compression without meth is not happy to release the product for aftermarket yet as they are working with oems at the moment. So if someone have any connection of a racing team please let me know as I might have to try the other angle.

Quick update:
Black grilles and gills installed, and changing to black bolts make the BBS stands out more. This like many others feel should have been stock for the 1M. The brekky run 8 has highlighted how significant of unsprung weights contribute to the handling and the ride of the car. The suspension works a lot better where the car tend to stay much better on the road over bumps. Turn in and steering response have improved, and interestingly so is the feed back. The comfort level has increased substantially. There had been no jarring bumps at all during the BR8. Fuel consumption is settled at 10.9 (that's after the run!) compare to 11.7 before the FMIC and the wheels. I am still patiently awaiting the Brembos and the Akra, and looking forward to see what Ohlins will bring for the 1M and M3 in September. I will be updating to the EvolveR stage 1 tune just for a comparison to the ESS, but will be updating to Stage 3 once it is FBOed. I am currently looking at quality CF parts, but there aren't many good quality products on the market. Even companies like Seibon are more cosmetics so will be looking at specialist company to customise. If anyone is interested in any CF parts, specifically, hood, roof, boot lid and driveshaft, please let me know. Here's a quick iphone photo:

I would prefer to go with an established CF manufacturer where they have the quality control in place. That means top $ unfortunately. If I cant find something I feel it is better than oem quality I would rather leave it stock. Interestingly, the few companies I have contacted also do CF engine parts .

I wouldn't put any CF replacement panels on a street car. Thy never fit as well as OEM steel/aluminium and they look shit. They are great for race cars where appearance is not the highest priority (weight savings is).
Many of the aftermarket "CF" replacement panels hardly weigh less than the OEM aluminium pieces. So they aren't lighter and they look shit because they don't fit as well.

![]() The Alpha-N 1M RS come with a load of cf parts. The CF are also available individually (bonnet with ducts, roof, boot, splitter, air dam). I personally really like the look of the csl-style-boot & splitters. http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/06/06/o...eries-m-coupe/ Let me know if you want any more info on it, as there's not much info currently on the alpha-n site. |

Hey Steve, I'm not sure if you're aware of the legality of cf hoods. I thought I would bring this up as you don't plan to ever go catless dp's.

Yes, I am aware of the legality issues that everyone talks about on various forums.
