Yes, your assessment is about right on the Hawk DTC series pads on rotor wear and pad wear. Most of the race pads I have seen are not easy on the rotors cold or warm, but once hot they are okay.

I'll get you a price on the PFC08's and shoot them over.

There is also a CL brand of pads, which are very expensive, but very good. Here is more info on the CL RC6E:

Looks like both are BMW parts (not Rogue, right?), is this from a different platform? IIRC the BMW Performance shifter does not work on the 1///M

the one with the blue thing is the Rogue... the dirty one is the OEM.

The Rogue kit have a tuned OEM part... and it is "easy" to install..

The shifts are shorter and heavier... especially when selecting reverse…

Surely can't be a SSK or PSW install, you were up to something else, now go spill the beans and tell us what this gutting was all about!

There is a good DIY video here my Muscles Marinara on this very same wheel, maybe too late for you to see at this stage, but install looks far less painful.

Since you have done it already I can ask: how easy is to take out the plastic cover around the radio/CD and aircon units? I am thinking about spraying them to piano black after having my Performance Wheel (to be installed by a pro).

Great tools, I have 2 sets of them. For those near a Harbor Freight store, they are usually $5! I think you can also order them on-line, good for all kinds of interior and trim work over the years.

PS: I wonder if the BR spec car doesn't have certain things pre-wired, I don't believe here in the US anyone had to go to this extent, in fact dealers have been charging about 2-3 hrs for the install altogether. Anyhow, glad your hard work paid off!
