(did have a PB today tho) I have some nice footage of catching an ill driven gtr lol

I don't mind being in separate groups tho as I like to watch others go round.
I think you're consistently faster than me though, and you're only a couple tenths/hundredths slower. I think my average lap speed is probably the slowest out of everyone because of my ongoing issues. Hopefully the car is running sweet tomorrow and I'm a bit more consistent.

Time attack isnt about consistency tho, you obviously steer good but limp mode shouldn't reflect on the driver.
May be pulling out tomorrow due to work shit

Thanks mate, it's been frustrating because the car has never run 100% yet. I think the 135i's are very capable of doing sub 60 seconds on the Sprint circuit on street tyres. I may have to pull out tomorrow as well, will see how things pan out. Got a few issues with my car... never ends.

Great day!. Track was hot & the tyres got greasy. Vin & Michael were awesome on street tyres when they weren't limping.
Missed you Koastal. May still be keen for your callipers if I ever catch up with you.

Sorry I was a no show.
2 mid week track days in a row was a bit optimistic unfortunately.
Vinnie did well turning up with his injured car.
How were the times ?

I had a pb of 1.04 the day before (Harry's lap timer)
Was on the hankook rs3. Attributed this time to the new endless me-20 pads.
Was able to brake significantly later than usual.

Dropping in at lakeside today for a look. Will have the calipers in the car in case you are about and want a look

That's okay mate, next time. Car ran like rubbish all day right from the first session. Even limped on a warm up lap doing 80km/hr. Best were 61 and 64. Need to sort out these misfire in 1, 3 and 4. Need to check again because only those come up after 2nd session. Have done plugs, coils, vanos, oil/filter, coolant recently.

Vinney ignor my other Q's in the oil cooler thread.

Fark, whats the plan for the misfires? My only thought would be injectors perhaps?

Edit: were you running meth?

Plan is to fear the limp mode and never rev past 2000rpm. No plan yet. Need to replace my oil filter housing, will probably get intake valves cleaned at same time.

No meth.

Car probaly ran worse or no better than it ever has before.

My car hesitates in a straight line when going WOT. Sometimes it's really bad. Karl was watching from the pitlane and he could hear the hesitation noises it was making.

I've replaced plugs, coil packs, vanos intake solenoid, coolant, oil/filter. Plugs were done 5k ago and the rest were done within the past week.

I used bosch plugs and coil packs though.

Only other thing I think it could be is injectors but I'd like to be certain before I drop nearly $400 per injector + dealer coding to get them done.

I thought the injectors were circa 100 each?

Twas taken with a iPhone data is courtesy of a " Harry's lap timer app"

unsure about the gtr driver looked a bit young and masculine for a "grandmother" but was in group 1 because of his prior experience and times. Lol

I stand corrected. They are only $121 http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-135...ctor/ES254320/

May as well change out all 6 whilst I'm at it

Like Vinney and yourself, I was running 1.04s on the Clubman & 1.01s on the Sprint. Slightly slower than a couple of months ago but tyres were sliding badly on the hot track.
I had new high temp Motul brake fluid put in two weeks ago but still kept getting brake warning lights coming up on the dash after a few hard stops. I'm on OEM pads/discs & Justin's old 888s. I'd like to upgrade pads soon to…?
I didn't make it to Lakeside yesterday. They like me to pop into the office every now & again.

When your car didn't limp it was pretty impressive Vin. You & Michael were visibly pulling away from me on the straights. With regard to the limping/redline theory, I don't think I hit the cut-out all day so maybe there's something in it?

The sprint circuit is more forgiving than the clubman but limp mode seemed inevitable. I know my driving style doesn't help but I really thought the N54 could withstand at least the first 4 laps of the day, which it didn't. I will check my codes later today and report back but I'm getting a really bad hesitation when WOT on straight road. It started happening ever since I got my full exhaust.

Also, I did a few WOT pulls yesterday. No Limp but I'm only hitting around 10psi Map 5 auto-tune.
