I'll rephrase...., IMO Joe's setup sounds better than any system I have heard to date.... And no, I don't think the Akra sounds that good to my ears... too raspy, which is good coz I can't afford one.

Joe - sounds good dude very good....still interested to hear it in person but excellent choice.

Ian - alot of exhaust system systems sound good, including the Remus/madDads setup you have. Why argue of which one is better/worse and just enjoy the noise!!

For me the Akra works because the stock system just didn't do it for me and this offers the noise, performance, and the quiet mode for the wife

COBB Update:

Changed maps this morning to the Stage 1 ST (Stock Throttle) Aggressive V4.02... ( Exhaust and Intake mods )

The main difference to the LT ( Linear Throttle ) is that the power now is instant from lower in the rev range and constant, without any sharp spikes as in the LT map... more manageable for DD and torque where you want it.

Also, the big PLUS with the ST Map, is that the "M" button function is now available.

The Meisterschaft has adapted nicely and now after 250kms since install, it has carboned up, and settled nicely..
Driving "sedately" if there is such a thing, it is just as quiet (

) as the Eisenmann, BUT once you go WOT, its just orgasimic.. Very high pitched rich exotic "scream"... Wakes the friggen dead..

No regrets whats so ever...LOVE the combo..

Now to research a FMIC.. ETS seems to be the No1 choice at the moment..Watching the ease /discreet of install on Ian's car has made up my mind..The least amount of cutting the better IMO..

One important point I forgot to mention with the "M" button and Mesiterschaft combo.

With the "M" button OFF, it acts like a like an exhaust valve and really quietens down the exhaust in the lower rev range..

I know this sounds presumptious and I will get some negative replies to this comment, but its FACT in my application.... Flame away..

EDIT: The COBB is so user friendly.. Change of maps takes between 15-30 seconds once loaded on the AccessPort.

I wonder how much it would cost for a custom full titanium system?

Inline 6 cylinders never sound as good as V8s. And once you add a turbo between the exhaust port and the outside world you cut the balls off any good sounds. But titanium exhausts are thinner walled and therefor louder.

There is no special magic in any brand for ti turbo exhausts.

What you are noticeable hearing is the lack of back pressure. The exhaust note is a lot higher pitched. Obviously very audible in the cabin, but not unbearable. Windows up and if sounds just the same as the Eisenmann.

I was looking for the strong rumble especially at the low revs cos I'm not a fan of the high pitch screech for a road car. You should have a full spare parts bin by now

You could always install with the OEM mids and go from there..

It's a straight bolt on to the OEM mids.

It has settled down a fair bit, which it needed too.

I never got Ti exhausts. Apart from the noise that some find desirable.
If a car was to be heavy in a single component I would want that component to be as low and central as possible. Maybe their is a market for lead exhaust systems. That would lower the centre of gravity

fWIW joes system sounded terrific. Very similar to a N55 with a downpipe
