I have an '09, registered my car on bmwusa.com and downloaded the manual, but the non-idrive manual was downloaded. Can't find the iDrive '09 manual on the site. I'll contact them and try to get it resolved.

There is an iDrive manual for the 2009 335i on bmwusa.com. Not as convenient, but the info is there.

Maybe OT, maybe not, but has anybody found any type of SERVICE manual for the car? Some type of BMW internal doc, or something along the lines of a Haynes or Bentley for the car? Would really be interested in dl'ing or purchasing something like this...

I would, too. The only thing I've seen is a DVD-ROM for sale on eBay that is apparently for the previous-generation (up to 2007) 1-series hatchback that was never sold in the USA.

I doubt it would be all that helpful for US-spec 1ers...then again, it does say it includes the "135is".

I believe all Manuel comes with the iDrive. From a 2012 128 owner.

yeah I am sure a lot of the 2008 manual is the same, but I was hoping to see a 2012 one without idrive just in case. Didnt go for idrive because I heard from numerous people that it just wasnt mature and intuitive enough yet...wasnt worth the extra 2k to me.
