Question about polishing/waxing - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the black grill and side mirror mounts and door trim are safe to polish and wax? I have a 2011 135 and I can't tell what kind of paints on them, and I have no where safe to test like a door jam.

I would use chrome wax

Are you talking about the kidney grille? Isn't it just black plastic?

If you're talking about the shadowline trim, I would think you could polish and wax it like the rest of the car, since it's glossy black... I used Power Lock on the trim and it works just fine.
