Active Autowerke | 1M Flash (Dyno Inside)
Hey guys,
We did a flash for a customer 1M a little while ago and got some excellent results. The car came in bone stock and after we installed our 1M specific flash and drop in filter things got a little more interesting. Now before you judge our flash/dyno please take into consideration that a 135 FBO jb4 N54 6mt with meth and 40% e85 running max boost only made 350 Whp and 400 tq. My personal car N55 Fbo meth/40% e85 made 329/400 tq. ![]() |

Can you provide specifics like the following:
1. Is Sport Mode still intact? 2. Is overboost intact? 3. What is max boost? 4. Is FMIC required? 5. Do you have the dyno results? Thanks!

Only if you gained more than 33 whp.

Am I the only one looking at this graph and wondering why it is so jagged? Tq curve especially, look at those surges and drops.
I know most ppl probably care about absolute numbers as it gives bragging rights, but the shape of these graphs leaves a lot to be desired IMO. Talk about making the car even less linear...

To get dynojet numbers multiply our max number by 1.1. (357.5 WHp 375 WTQ)
Did you read this part? Now before you judge our flash/dyno please take into consideration that a 135 FBO jb4 N54 6mt with meth and 40% e85 running max boost only made 350 Whp and 400 tq. This car was flashed right on the dyno it takes a few miles for the boost control to adapt. The oscillation goes away pretty quickly after the car has adapted to the new changes. |

Right about Mustang dynos. My totally stock car recently dynoed 294.2 rwhp on one of them which was almost identical with what GIAC managed in their stock 1M car before they start tuning it on another Mustang dyno. 290-295 whp seems to be what you will get from a stock 1M on that type of dyno. I heard that stock E9X M3s are getting min 320 to max 340 as well.

I know all Dyno's are different but considering my car stock dyno'd at 285 (avg) on a Mustang as well makes me question this other 135 JB4/FBO/Meth/E85 dyno is all.

That same day max wheel torque of my stock 1M was 342.9 lb.ft again it was on par with GIAC's numbers as well as many others. In your experience what are stock M3 torque numbers on Mustang dynos?

It is a beautifully constant torque curve like a table mountain despite the fact that there is not much of it. Such a different engine, all about linearity. Whole different kind of beast.
On the other hand, the delta between 1M and M3 is much less than what factory states in terms of horse power while in torque the real delta is even more than we already knew: If I am not making a big calculation error, the 1M seems to produce around 90 % of the M3's whp. When it comes to torque there is a minimum 150 % of M3's wtq delivered by the 1M. At least my amateur eyes are interpreting the curves and numbers this way. Factor it in weight difference too and there is the explanation how stock 1Ms can keep up with stock M3s well, even if they are DCT. In-gear acceleration, there is no competition to speak of. The rest between these two is purely personal taste and preferances.
