2013 New iDrive update - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hello, I was trying to look around for this for over an hour or so and could not find anything hoping maybe a link or info from fellow 1Addicts.

Does anyone know if you can update the iDrive in a 2011 135i to the new 2013 iDrive with the 3D maps, etc?

Wonder if the hardware would be able to handle it...thanks in advance!

I guess you could always call BMW as well.

That update doesn't update the navigation system. It updates the support for IPhones and a couple of other media playing devices.

My understanding is that our hardware is not compatible with new generation idrive software. Updates for all E series vehicles have ceased. Check the thread by Jason in General BMW News Section.

i have an early 2011/4 and just updated the maps on the car to 2013 maps and i have the 3d when on certain views.

I have a 2008 .. not even idrive, I want to update my navi as much as possible.... what can I do about it??
