I have to say thats pretty sneaky sending, probably someone's new car that has just arrived to be repaired behind the scenes.

No new 1Ms off the docks since Sept. Probably dealer car.

Agree. I have seen the cars loaded on the ship: they actually wedge them against each other bumper to bumper with a piece of foam in between to stop them moving when the ship rolls.

Then they get driven off the ships, around the dock yards, then to get the PDI done. After that they get put on a truck to the dealer.

So when you add all that up it's very common for them to pick up some minor damage. Customer is almost never aware. No harm no foul as long as it's not structural, etc.
