What does this icon mean at startup?

I don't have a manual to look it up

My car is at 30k miles and my warranty is good until Feb 2014.

The bottom one means, 9000 mls or service on 05/13 whichever comes first. The top one means the bottom one refers to the car.

But since you say you are at 30k miles, there is an Inspection Service due every 30k. So if you have not had it done, you are due - it's covered like other scheduled maintenance for 4yrs/50k miles.

I brought it in recently for the 30k service but I had cleared the service indicator which is apparently a big no-no. He said he would get an exception but I'm not sure if they even did anything. Don't see what the big deal is, can't they look at the service history to see what was performed? On the paper they gave me looks like it was all visual checks.

Then it spumds like you are simply seeing the normal boot screen for the OBC.

The 30k inspection also includes mechanical checks and a road test. For earlier models such as the E46, it was called "Inspection 1" or "Inspection 2" and added $200~300 to the cost of an out of warranty oil change when due.
