Xenon lights question
Just a quick question.
When the head lights are on full beam should all 4 lights be bright? It appears on my car that only the outer xenon lights go extra bright. Is this normal? Thanks |

No, 2 outter lights as it is a dual xenon bulb. Inner lights have no bulb.

The two outer lights are the ones that goes high beam. I think it only has one bulb and the movement of the lense or housing that makes it bright. The inner lights are for cornering. Which means that one side lights up depending on where your steering wheel is turning.

Btw Ian, I don't think the xenon bulb is bi-xenon, but rather a single fillement DS1 xenon bulb with a shutter door that directs the light output from low beam to high beam. Dack

2012 Manual: "Adaptive Light Control is a variable headlamp control system that enables better illumination of the road surface. Depending on the steering angle and other parameters, the light from the headlamp follows the course of the road. In tight curves such as on switchbacks or when turning, at speeds up to approx. 40 mph/70 km/h, an additional, cornering light is switched on that lights up the area inside the curve."
It's the lamp inside the second corona (inner side). Not merely a feature to emphasize to oncoming traffic that you intend to turn, in addition to the blinker - its main purpose consists of adding light to the dark side of your choice...
