Thanks. I have booked the car to be done next Thursday and Friday. So, hopefully the part that needs some extra treatment will be back from Sydney on Thursday.

Ok I don't come here often but I just saw the CCM-R on the last page. So what am I missing here? The brake pads are priced very reasonably after all.

Also, I don't know much about the CCM-R other than that it's the latest carbon ceramic rotors for Brembo. But I have Porsches with PCCB and I have been told that they don't last that much longer than the steel brakes on the track. So are you sure you want to be tracking this thing baiting GT3? Also, I've owned two GT3s. It will be one heck of an achievement if you beat one on the track!

Good to see you Way!! CCM-R eliminates the problem of PCCB - at least I will try to beat one

A friend of mine have a 996 regularly tracking in QR, so really I will only be chasing him

. I will keep you up to date

As for the pad, yes, that is not that expensive, in my opinion anyway.

Yes. Brembo's latest kit for the 1M/M3 - same disc on the F430 Cup Cars.

380mm fronts and 360 rears. I bought them through aworkx in Germany, as they were the only one I found who can get it in for me at that time, and they are great to deal with. However, vividracing in the US also sells them who is a sponsor of the forum. The Australian retailers would not budge on price.

More photos from this afternoon - haven't got the car back yet as they haven't properly bedded the pads and haven't done a good road test to make sure everything is good to go. Also haven't done the data logger - but here are some pics.

The akrapovic is amazing - and I actually like when the valve is close. Not louder than stock, but it now sounds more like a screaming n/a!

I suspect they got stuck installing down pipes, they are incredibly hard to squeeze in with engine in place haha

Got my car back today - and only driven it home and moderate traffic. Just some initial incoherant thoughts as I have a big day.

Absolutely love the exhaust, and I have to resist not turning the valve on. Doesn't seem to be any drone at 110km as drone seems to happen at medium throttle around the 1.5k rpm. Love the response of the car - almost instantaneous.

Still getting use to the brake feel, and may be the pads are not properly bedded yet. Although the workshop has tried to bleed it six times apparently and go through the Brembo 30km bedding process. There is a bit of travel require initially, but it is very very progressive where I felt I have much more control how much brake force I need. Will need more time in the car to figure it out as there were no chance for me to do some high speed braking.

Turn-in is absolutely brilliant now, but looks like suspension needs some adjusting doesn't feel quite right, and I am too tired to figure out what.

Are you gonna change the centre caps on your rims? They looks HEAPS easier to clean than the stock ones

Not sure if I am going to yet. I kind of quite like the BBS centre cap at the moment. Change it back to the BMW ones may make it look more stock. They are really easy to clean - less spokes and I can fit my hands through and clean every bit without taking the wheels off

. Only problem with the new brakes is no more wheel cleaners.

Saw your car the other day. Very nice. Appears you may live next door to a mate of mine

Does the bbk still have some some slack before taking up ?
Had that prob for a while with last pad / rotor change. Gone now thank god as it made threshold braking very awkward.
