Engine Bay Paint? - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

I have a 2010 space grey 135i. I have a few rusted sections in my engine bay near the passenger side headlight area. Does BMW have the exact match paint touch up for their engine bay? I will upload some pics of the affected areas later.

It should be the same color as your exterior, just not clear coated.

Rust already!! Don't these cars have a warrenty for rust through protection??

Yeah, for 8 years. Just go to the dealership and get it fixed for free.

Without pics, I am assuming it is rust from prior body work being done in the area? That might not get covered, unless maybe done by BMW body shop?

Ur right. My 135i is a CPO vehicle. No accident was shown on the carfax but they did replaced an under body panel on that side. Regardless it shld still be under warranty right? I will tell my SA the next time I bring it in for service. My brake pads are due soon anyways. Thanks for the help guys.
