Ultra Racing chassis reinforcements?
In my regular search around the Internet for cool parts, I keep coming across these assorted chassis reinforcements from Ultra Racing. Aside from the standard front/rear sway bars and strut tower bars, they also have several different bars to stabilize several different parts of the body.
After some extensive searching, I found several positive reviews from 5-series guys and one or two vague reviews from 3-series guys, but it does seem like a few different people have tried some of these products. So, my question is - does anybody know how much they help? The parts aren't that expensive ($100-300 range, maybe 4-5 total parts for the full kit), and they're also supposed to be an "upgrade" for the M3... so if they can provide noticeable stability, I'm thinking it might be worth a shot...

I bought a rear subframe brace for my gti from them....it wouldn't clear my exhaust, but it was a quality piece, I would definitely recommend their products to others

Did it make a practical difference?

Ultra Racing? Those white bars that are made in Malaysia?
Seriously for a BMW i would avoid them. You can't just stick cheap stuff on our cars, its just not right. I am located too in Malaysia and i can tell you their factory is just a small lot that looks like a back yard workshop. |

Well, "cheap" can mean a lot of things. I wouldn't stay away from something just because it's inexpensive... I bought a BMS clutch stop for $5, and everybody thinks that it's a great mod (and it helps that BMS makes stuff almost exclusively for our cars).
But of course, if you mean "cheap" as in "low-quality", then I agree that I shouldn't put it on my 1er. Still, I'm not put off by the cosmetics of their product or their workshop... but if anybody has negative feedback about their product itself (i.e. didn't fit properly, wasn't as strong as advertised, etc.), then I'll stay away from them.

I was also wondering about these. I've seen them on eBay. I emailed them to get a price on all the pieces but never heard anything back. Can't be that good if there not going to email back. Emailed 3 times total.

That's funny... they replied to my eBay messages pretty quickly. Maybe your emails are getting caught in a spam filter or something.
