Ar design DP - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Just add the Ar design DP on my 135i with N54. The car are crazy in speed.
But, when I push up the rev. , it got some "zu,zu......." sound from the middle of the car ( around the DP area.) in between 1700-2000rev. After 2000rev, sound is gone.
Is it alright? Did someone get this sound after the DP changed too?

Can you post a video? possibly just the sound of the turbo's spooling?
I remember getting my AR catless DP installed on my n54 and the turbos where definitely louder

Does it feel like a vibration? Also does it happen the whole time when ac/heater is on?

Yes it's sound like vibration. Make this sound only in pushing the rev from 1700 to 2000. After 2000 rev. The sound is gone.

Try to make the video tomorrow

Rubbing against the heat shield? Think there have been a number of posts about this.

This happened to me after I changed my downpipes but I'm back to stock downpipes now and it still does that

could be vibrating off the body of the car....

there is so little room on each side that when you give it gas, the engine will tq, and cause the little room you have to touch the frame/body/tranny bolt.

Try the ac on today. No sound have be make.
