They are starting to ship them (this was in my inbox at 5:25):

Dear mattm,

We have started sending out the first “Exclusive BMW 1 M Coupé Owner’s Polo Shirts” - and your shirt is among them.

You can track the package via this link, providing your local postal service allows for this:
http://null
Please note that perhaps local taxes or custom duties may be due on delivery, depending on legislation in your country.

Incidentally, the basic shirt was produced in Turkey while all embroidery was carried out in Bavaria (Germany) according to your specifications. The shirt cannot be replaced or returned due to the fact that it has been custom-made for you.

If you have not yet managed to respond to the small survey for which we sent out a separate e-mail invitation, please do so. Thank you in advance for taking part - this thank-you is also from our colleagues at M Automobile Product Management, who are very much looking forward to your answers.

We would be very pleased if you would use the following link to upload a photo showing you in your shirt, possibly with your 1 M.
http://www.m-power.com/_open/s/edito...ang=en&FS=1052

We would then start showing photos of the "1 Series M Coupé family", for example on M-Power.com.

All the very best with your shirt - and of course we hope you continue to enjoy your BMW 1 Series M Coupé!

Best regards,
Your M-Power.com Team

+2 on the email notice.

FYI : I ordered mine about a week after the original news broke, so I wasn't among the very first to order

Just curious--what kinds of questions were in the survey? I didn't order a shirt but what almost got me to order was this:

"Several days after placing your order you will receive an e-mail asking you to answer a number of questions. This also gives you the opportunity to directly influence the range and character of future M Automobiles."

Sorry for the somewhat off-topic post, but I didn't think my question merited a new thread.

I don't see why it should be late since every 1M (every VIN) has a right for 1 shirt so just go to the site and try to order. Regarding respective numbers of colors, no one knows this for sure yet but you could always choose a phrase like "one of the black Pyrats"

Love it!! Not sure what to write on it, despite all the great suggestions on this thread... Will have to do some thinking...

I do like the idea of including pyrat somehow... thanks!!

Same here. I guess the shirts follow the same schedule as the allocation process; hurry up and wait.

I just ordered mine. Wanted the sleeve blank but wouldn't let me do it. Tried spaces too.

Ended up putting:

M 2961 Z

Which was my Euro Deliver Plate number. Thought of VIN too, that's a nice idea but plate seemed closer to the whole experience.

My wife surprised me with the order for Christmas. She said she put my name on it. Should have guessed something was up when she was taking a picture of the chassis VIN!!!
