TWD - Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SuperLeggera
Last car of 2012...and finished off with this beauty!
Only 4 months old, so decided it needed the Nanolex treatment ![]() No before photos, it was just dirty in the usual areas, so thorough clean then on to protection Nanolex Premium used on Matte Black paintwork & Ceramic exhaust tips Nanolex Ultra used on Gloss Black wheels, Green calipers and exterior/interior carbon fibre pieces. Whats your consensus on the nanolex sealent?
I have had my rims coated now for a few months and when washing the car just by hosing them down you can watch the majority of the brake dust literally wash off the rim leaving a trail of grimy water behind. |

It's great that you can use the one product on paintwork and wheels. Expected to get up to 3 years out of it (manufacturers claim). |

appreciate the kind words!
It's a fantastic piece of machinery ![]() With the matte paintwork, yes it is harder to maintain, because you can't really polish it. There is a clear coat on there, but it is finished to ABSORB light, rather than reflecting light like regular clear coats do. Similar protection properties but cannot be polished. If you do, you make it glossy. So in a nut shell, if you do encounter swirls, scratches, watermarks, etc, you live with it or you get the panel resprayed. And that's if they can match the rest of the car. With this LP570-4, the entire car is covered with matte vinyl stoneguard. Highly recommended if you have a matte/satin painted car.

Nice! I take it you can still wax etc over the top of the Nanolex sealant?

Thanks Edwin! When's yours due?

Yes, Hardbody can be used on wheels and with great results too. You know, I really like Hardbody. Nanolex is an alternative, it just depends on what you want. Ultra lasts for up to 3 years (manufacturer claim) and as we know, Nanolex is regarded as one of the market leaders in the Nano sealant world. Their products are fantastic, even the Premium Sealant spray which is a great product for anyone looking to DIY. Each to their own at the end of the day. Quote:
There were a few options with this matte painted Lamborghini - SV Opaque, Dr. Beasleys and Nanolex. In fact, Nanolex is due to release matte paint specific sealant, but Premium was easily suited to the task and the owner was shown how to DIY with the product for later applications.
