Castrol EDGE 5W-30 FST - anyone using it on 135I?

Hi guys,

i have been looking around to change my oil in my 135i N55. and i have noticed this new oil from castrol, it is LL04 approved by bmw.

its also super cheap

any opinions? safe to use ?
im running a JB4 on N55

It should be same as BMW oem Longlife
BMW use also Castrol LL 5w30

I chose Castrol 0w40 because it runs maybe a bit cooler.

But OEM oil for our cars is Castrol 5w30 LL4 for EU and LL01 for US

i noticed that on the back of the bottle it stated that it is LL04 approved by bmw

so i guess ill try it, here in Israel there a very hot weather, so ill see how it goes
and maybe next time try the 0-40

I just bought a few bottles of this oil, planning to do an oil change this weekend. Couldn't decide between the 5w-30 or the 0w-40 but just decided to go with the 5w-30 in the end.
