WTB: Damaged 135i or Front Cut - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hi Guys as the title says, im after a 135i Halfcut for a project, happy to entertain anything from a front cut to a damaged rear ended car, if anyone can has anything or can point me in the right direction of importing something from japan, uk etc it would be much appreciated.

A couple of weeks ago there was a damaged 135i at Mannheim in Brisbane. It had just arrived and was being sorted into the yard. Not sure if its ready to be auctioned or how that one will be sold. One of the front rails was bent but the engine looked largely untouched.

That wasn't the dark grey one was it ? 2012 model n54 ?

No... It was black and pre LCI

Do you work in Mannheim mate?

And yeah, it was a black one. It was auctioned off a few times, passed in at 9k, then 11k then the last time it was auctioned i didnt see the price, but its gone now i think.

No ... dont work at Mannheim. My office is not far from there and I pass by from time to time.

do you NEED factory ones? a few of those items could be easily had aftermarket for same price or less than OEM (iintercooler and probably radiator for example)

though on that note, i have an oil cooler and piping and ducting, fins aren't perfect and i'll have to degrease it, but it's functional lol

Have you ever bought anything from that place? I went there and they seemed not at all interested in selling anything - certainly dont try and have a look around their yard. Maybe I looked to much like a cop and had them worried about finding something they didnt want found?

I think that is the place i used to go to years ago and they were more worried that you'd shove a bunch of parts down ya pants.
