Well I FINALLY got around to installing my coilovers today (well the rears at least). I must say that they really weren't all that bad, the biggest pain in the ass was reinstalling the trunkliner. Here are some pictures of the process, and once the fronts are on I'll post some pictures of how the car sits

Rokinon 8mm F/3.5 Wideangle/Fisheye.
It's like a $200 lens and completely worth the money because it gets some of the weirdest but beautiful shots ![]() Thanks for all the happy words, fronts are on schedule for next weekend! |

So after about a month and a half all the suspension work is done. I ended up taking my car to the shop to get the last coilover installed (almost died compressing the spring of the other side, didn't want to risk it again), then after a half day of driving I got impatient and went to my buddy Michaels' house to spindle them down.
Word of advice to anyone buying ST coilovers and looking to adjust them while they're on the car; the backs were the biggest pain in the ass I have ever experienced. The product is absolutely amazing, but for some strange reason there is a design flaw with our cars and E90 cars where when you spin the coil, the top 'perch' spins with it. A few hours of swearing and a 3" C clamp later we got them almost all the way down. The fronts were easy and only took maybe 15mins a side. My back end still needs to be dialed in, and my front needs to be raised a tad but here's a picture for now; ![]() For the record I am running 12mm spacers in the front and 15mm spacers in the rear. The front is spindled all the way down and the tire only rubs on the fenderliner during turns (as you can imagine), the rears have ~ 5 threads left and don't rub at all. |

Here's that video.
Sorry for the shakey camera at parts, I filmed it all free hand. Any feedback would be much loved, just keep in mind I've never attempted filming or editing like this before so don't be toooooo rough. |
