Notification of needed service
Curious question.......
I received a voicemail from Hendrick BMW saying that my 2009 128 notified them it was in need of a service check. It has 17,300 miles. I don't have any error notifications on the dash so are they just making an educated guess based on ave miles driven? I am assuming there is not a 2 way communication with these cars and they have not had my fob in months. Thanks guys |

Just got my call from the dealer. Car does communicate with BMWUSA who then updates the selling dealer. They want to do an oil change & brakes, car has about 16/17K miles on it.
Time to take off the BMS decals.

Oh yea....forgot all about BMW assist. I did notice this morning when I started the car there was a brief service notification flashed but then went off. I usually do not look at it unless there is a solid error code like low tire pressure.
I wonder what it needs......is there a way to tell manually without reading codes? I still have service warranty till june or july Thanks again |
