Ordered my catback
Bump for Anish at Speedfreaks - asked his opinion about the street vs race. He was very helpful, and suggested that a moderate approach would be to get the street, followed by DP's and then mids in that order.
Can't wait to get 'em and out them on! As most of the post may already know, Speedfreaks gives you a credit on any other Berk product that you buy from them (even if the Berk item was not purchased from them) - pretty nice!

I received my Berk Street and I love it! Shipping was quick and Anish was great. If you are looking for an exhaust and are thinking about Berk, go for it! And plus you can save some money on top of it!

Recommended Exhaust Shop in NC 27514?
Anyone from the Chapel Hill, Raleigh-Durham area that can recommend a good installer? My catback should be here Friday!

FYI when I put in the Berk race axel back, they cut about 2 inches off of the stock mids and cut my resonator box out bc it wouldnt fit...make sure it clears the back left strut!!!!!!!!I spent $200 having it fixed correctly after a botched first intall rubbing on the strut and knocking on the subframe!

I ran Catless 4" DP, N55 Mids, Berk Race. Also tried Berk Mids & Berk Sport. I've tried berk everything and never had an N55 midpipe problem on any of the pieces.

I want to buy the street one, but I am afraid that it will be too loud. I currently have DPs and golf tee mod on my N54. Any of you guys know "how much louder" the street version will be, or is it similar to what I currently have on the car? Also, ive read around, do any of you have drone issues with the street?

Note to the OP: I checked the stock for the group buy and only the following 2 are available for now (sounded like it will sell out soon), more again later in Feb. along with full systems: BT1801-S (Muffler Delete/Race) coated and non coated. It will take a week if you wanted it coated (the black ceramic coating). Where are all the pics from the installs!? Put them up- |

New Berk Street
I just installed the street last night. Wow!
On the first start up, I could hear an immediate difference - from outside the car, the sound was much lower and a little louder. Now that I have driven it for over 100 miles, the sound is much richer - no drone, not obnoxiously loud. It sounds fantastic from idle through 3 K. Above 3K, it sounds like business. I had all the same common concerns about volume, drone, fitment, etc. I can say that these are not a concern - and the exhaust has more than lived up to my expectations. Install was about 20 minutes. Don't forget to tie off the hose to the OEM valve, and tuck it away. If you don't tie it off (use a plastic tie), you'll get a whooshing sound on WOT. I'll post pics tomorrow.

You'll like it!
+I've had mine for a week. The sound gets a little louder and richer after you've drive it for a few miles. It's 30 degrees here, and I roll the windows down just to listen to the burble (you know what I mean!).

Cool, I plan to install it myself. Did you? Anything special to worry about? I haven't seen a DIY for it.
