Haven't started my car in 4 days and she started just fine with it being 24 degrees outside. I also only had 14 miles till empty tank lol

Let her warm up for 10 minutes first before driving it and that puppy ran like a dream

At nights before I go home i give her a solid 5 min to warm up before i drive.
Cars actually generally do better if you let all the components warm up together instead of just the engine by itself.

Yes but when the inside of the ar is freezing...it makes for a not so fun ride home.
But if the cars cabin is warm, well one tends to take it more easy on the car.

Let my car sit in -40 for 2 days... lights flickered and it started pretty weak, thought it wasn't going to catch.

I also let it sit for around 5 minutes until the revs have dropped down.

I drive around for 40 minutes and the oil temp hasn't moved. Inside it is blowing luke warm air after about 10-15 minutes of driving so it's not completely unpleasant. For the first 10 minutes though the blower fan makes an annoying squeal noise.

Had the thermostat replaced in December, so I know that's good. -40 is just too cold!

That's weird, my car is blowing hot air within 5 minutes!

Just came on to say that I think I've used my heater twice this year just to take the edge off the cabin. I keed, I keed. I actually used my heater for about a week straight during a cold snap.
