Yup, they're 2 separate components from BMW as accessories. The base support consists of the 4 mounts, the bars and various mounting hardware. The bike rack is the rest of the pieces you see. The base support is compatible with a bunch of different attachments for skis, snowboards, bikes and all that good stuff.
