I'm told the e82/88 will go straight on the front but require some minor tinkering on the rear.
The 130i doesn't need any tinkering to fit the brembo calipers, whether they are the stock 135i ones or BMWP ones.

As you can see here, the rear BMWP were an official option for the 130i so they will fit. The 130i and 135i axle carriers are the same size. The 125i and 120i are much smaller and would need modification for the hand brake to function.

Cool. I'm happy with the stock OEM 135i brakes. Don't necessarily need the fancy ones.

Not entirely true, the fronts will bolt straight on. The rears require you to upgrade to the 135i hub flanges, the alternative to this is to get the specific BMWP rear disc rotors which were also an option in some markets for the e9x series although i've read these are quite rare

It is entirely true. I have a set installed on my 125i and I know what issues we ran into. The Perf. Calipers and rotors will fit up fine on the smaller 125i hub but the handbrake shoe diameter is only 160mm and cannot open wide enough to grip the larger diamater rotor. The 135i AND 130i both have a larger hub and a 185mm handbrake shoe diameter so have no issue.

Go do some research and get back to us.

I have, the e82 and e87 run different tracks.
To clear the rears on the 130i a switch to the e82 hub flanges are required.

This is why BMW specify different rotors for the rear of the 130i. The BMWP rotor for the 135i is a different part number to the 130i 324x22 rotor which is also used on specific e9x 3-series in certain regions.

The handbrake issue for the 130i to 135i shouldn't be a problem as they run the same parts.

Now I'm confused again about the upgrade from 130 brakes to 135. So the stock 135i brakes still have an issue going on the back of the e87, just not the handbrake issue that's been discussed earlier?

Your best option is to call up Peter@Advan and ask him what he knows on the subject.

Someone has actually done an e87 130i upgrade from the 135i on another forum and ran into this issue, the part numbers for the rear hub flanges differ between the 2 and the variance in dimensions account for the difference between the rear tracks.

drawn05:
if i'm not mistaken you upgraded an e82 125i ?
the other e82's i believe run the same rear track and hence the same hub flanges (haven't confirmed this one - best to check on realoem) but run into the issue of different hand brake size/parts

Anyone got an N54 intake, other than a DCI, they're looking to sell? Over my DCI and want something else. Another aftermarket boxed intake, or an Injen or similar is perfect.
