Wheel Specs need some help.
So i've bought my suspension painted and awaiting to install it all. My intentions are to do things that i can carry over to hopefully a 135i once i get of my P's. Now that im planning to keep the 120i for a few years i wouldn't mind getting some some rims that would suit a 135i nicely. If you could please post your specs or photo's of what style to go ect would be greatly appreciated. Was thinking of style 359's in 19" fronts 8.5 rears maybe 9-9.5"
Edit: New style wheel's found new set up 18X8.5ET38 18X9.5ET33

I have a feeling you will have a lot of difficulty getting genuine BMW M3 wheels to fit on your 1er as the offsets will be too aggressive.
If you want 19's you'll probably have to go aftermarket. GTC and VMR's seem to have CSL replica wheels or similar for good prices and I think they come in 19s. Or just go for some lightweight wheels from Apex or Forgestar. For 8.5's at the front you will need a 45-48 offset and for the rear you will need 50 for 9's or 58 for 9.5's I think. |

8.5 +40 front is FLUSH.. i wouldn't go more agressive... 9.5+45 rear would need a roll for more offset.. so, basically, they won't fit well

+38 is close enough :P Yeah the rears is whats holding me back considering he has 225's on a 9.5" rim isn't something i want on a daily.

Mate you will struggle with that on a 1er! I'm running 19x8.5 ET 45 front 235 tyre. 19x9.5 ET 50 rear 255 tyre.
The front Fitment is very tight. You could go slightly more aggressive but you will need to run skinny tyres and stretch.... ![]() ![]() |

I want to keep the style a secret for now :P Edit: Just need better offset for the rears. ![]() ![]() Last picture is with 3mm spaces apparently.

I'll put up some pics of mine tomorrow to see how close it is for your wants, looking at the pics above that's a tad poke with stretched tyres aand a bit of camber?
235's onthe front 8.5" +45 with a 5mm spacer (+45 effectively) to clear the strut leaves zero clearance either side with coilovers, and JUST doesn't rub or poke.. You could do that 2mm more offset with either 225 or a teensy bit of camber safely9.5 +45 with 245 rear (with a 40 profile, so a bit taller than stock) jjjuuuussst don't rub with the dampers wound up, a 255/35 would fit with a roll at worst... Main issue being the stock crappy guard liners with a nice drop, more than the guard itself on 245/40 |

I am currently running a 235 front +45 Fitment and its tight as.Then you suggest adding a 5mm spacer..... The guards in the front are hard to roll so you would have to pump/pull the guards for them to be scrub free. The brand of tyre also effects Fitment as well, a PSS for example is squarer so a 225 PSs would be equivalent to a 235 in a Kumho ku39 (more rounded side wall). The OP's ride height will certainly also need to be considered, my car is very low but from the pics he supplied I'm sure he's after a similar stance. |

Safe option for a 135i
F: 8.5 ET 45 w/225/35/19 Tyre R: 9.5 ET 50 w/255/30/19 Tyre You have probably ~5mm clearance with the fender on that setup if you wanted to go slightly wider |

Will be hard to fit. 225 would be your only hope of fitting those on the rear. |

No way you're gonna fit those offsets.
I had to roll the rears on 18 x 9.5 ET50 but I've got a fair drop on my KWs.

That's weird. Where did you buy your wheels from or were the wheels on your car when you bought them?
