Shaking off the rust....

After not being on track since last august/sept...we finally had a nice weekend and I was able to get out. Here's a short vid my friend took of me knocking off the rust on the skid pad. Waiting to get the go pro vid my friend let me borrow. Sadly i didn't get my new phone mount in time so I didn't get any in car vid or timing. But oh well still had fun

it's a fantastic time for sure. Sadly though this skid pad is really old and the surfaces aren't consistent. On one side the sealant is still there and it's super slick, followed by a surface where there is zero sealant and has a ton of grip...into a section where there's a big dip with a giant 6 inch deep puddle....with finally a consistent surface around the next part of the circle haha. Needless to say it's hard to get a full circle drift in with so many different surfaces, but it does a really good job of teaching throttle modulation and feeling your car out to keep them going.

I let two instructors drive my car this weekend and they both gave me big compliments on the setup of my car. Both agreed I had the best balanced 1 series they had ever driven. I was ecstatic to hear that as I've worked really hard on dialing her in over the past couple years
