Removing rear mudflaps

Our new driveway has a curved kerb and the rear mud flaps scrape going up or down. Mind you this is reversing straight up. I need to test at a few angles. The front touches a little also.

Has anyone removed the rear flaps. It looks like there are a few screws and that's it? Anything I need to know?
