Aftermarket Headunit Install

So it's easy enough to get the old one out

and the new fascia fits well

but how to i secure the new headunit itself?

since the old one was a single unit that all bolted on with those two screws.. i can't see a way of getting the new one secure?

also, what about an adapter for the antenna so i can continue to use the actual radio?

ED: seems >http://metraonline.com/part/Aftermarket_Antenna_40-EU55 will cover my radio needs.. still no idea how to actually secure the head unit itself though >_<

ok i sorted all that, getting an antenna adapter tomorrow

but big issue

all plugged in fine, managed to squeeze the wiring in JUST... but my steering wheel controls won't work

am using a connects2 CTSBM006 which is supposed to do it all... but my steering wheel controls won't work?.. is there meant to be a little extra jack bit to do that?

any input?

ED: my best guess is because it didn't come with the steering wheel> head unit connection lead

fffffffuuuuuuuu... lets home my local store has one since they seem to have most things...

If you do a double din, go with a Janis kit. Looks OEM. Either way, you will have to relocate your stock radio.

already got a single din 9887 (already have it, why waste money... still one of the best SQ units, especially for the price.. etc.)

and why would i have to relocate?

i never plan on taking it to the dealer, i still have all dash chimes, PDC, and (hopefully... and hopefully tomorrow) steering wheel controls

as far as i know, INPA and stuff can still code via OBD

still have clock+MPG (L/100 for me) and all that

and no codes thrown (no dash lights at least)

... factory head unit is useless.?

that looks MINT though.. smooth!

if i were to go DDIN though, i'd actually probably go an alpine still.. i like them, and it's easier for me to run the processor off the head unit rather than get a RUX *AS WELL*
