Spacers + OE Suspension & Wheels = Rubbing?
I'm thinking of fitting some 10mm spacers to my 1M, front and rear.
My car is on standard suspension, wheels and tyres. Is there any risk of rubbing with this set up? I've done a search but couldn't find the exact information I'm looking for. |

I've been running 5mm front and 12mm back spacers for a while now with no rubbing issues.

I'm looking to put 15mm spacers on the rear. Not expecting any problems from what I have heard from people who have gone even bigger. I guess I'll really find out with trial&error haha. Hopefully without the later part

275 Michelin and 10mm spacers, light rubbing on rear. fronts ok with stock 245. You can trim plastic on bumper and should be okay on the rear. no big deal so it fits okay

I just put on Eibach 12mm spacers front and 15mm rears.
Front do rub at almost full lock, but not at full lock. Rears no rub at all. Looks great and very clean. Since the car will never be held at that amount of lock for a long period of time anyway I'll be keeping this set up

MY bad hahaha Some pics with the rub occurring in the usual problematic fender liner area. All pictures are with the spacers installed.
Eibach 12mm front and 15mm rears

I am having similar fender rubbing issues in the front when switching to a winter set-up. I don't know why a 12mm spacer in the front would cause a rub at the angle that the picture was taken at.... You may have to gently change the aspect ratio in-order to achieve enough clearance. |
