Thanks mate..Spent over 30 mins last night trying to establish a method of removal before giving up, and removing the axle back with the diffuser in place.

Bit of a pain thou, that they are not replaceable.

Knew there had to be a logical explanation..

Sorry I meant snip but you got the idea.

I agree I wish they were reusable

There has to be a method of removing these damn clips without murdering them..
Such a PITA BMW went this way... How could they install a unremovable panel clip..

There is only 4 you need to replace and can be picked up at auto shop like super cheap autos / repco etc.... I keep a few spare as they are generic clip used on most cars..

Can anyone give me a quick how-to on removing the diffuser? I have a CF one on the way but it sounds like its a little more difficult than the 135i...

I know it well

There are 4 plastic rivets (2 each side) which are a single use only. Just drill out the centre if each, then the OE diffuser can be pulled out starting one side to the other. The clips/tabs are quite secure though and it is a hard pop in/out.

Which one did you buy?

Haha.. I still haven't decided on the Akra yet... and if I do I'll probably get the Titanium tips so shouldn't be a problem...

I heard an Akra the other day. It sounds mental but I still feel like its a ridiculous amount of money for an exhaust...

Even the more expensive 135i exhausts cost less than the cheapest 1M exhaust...

Not sure yet... Asked Stu to find me one... The discussion went something like this:

ME: "All the diffusers out there suck. The brand name ones are ridiculously priced and I don't like most of them. The eBay ones are all questionable quality and they're stupidly priced too. Can you find me a decent one at a decent price?"

STU: "Sure."

A day or so later he told me he'd found and ordered one. That was a month or so ago. (They had to fabricate it after he ordered it.)

It arrived at Advan today and hopefully it's already on its way to me..

Now you know as much as I do... I'll report more once I've got it...
