Winter Tire pressure question

I have a set of Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 205/50 -17 on my 135i. What is the optimum tire pressure I should be running?

Manual says 33/36 for M+S in your size.

I just put my winters on for the season, I used Kal Tire they put them on and inflated them to 38/38 which brought up a code. At least I think that's why it popped up. Anyway I lowered the pressure couple hours later and the codes still there!!
Now I believe its the inflation code, cross section of a tire w/exclamation ! inside. Can I reset it myself or is that a trip to the shop?

Thanks

That's probably your tire pressure monitor. Look it up in your owner's manual, set your pressures, and reset the FTM according to the instructions and the warning icon should go out.

Unless, of course, they have switched over to in wheel sensors in your country and you have mounted your tires without the TPMS sensors.

Tire pressure reset is in iDrive if you have it. On my car, I access tire pressure reset through buttons on the turn signal stalk.

Hi,

I just put my winter tires (hakka 7 studded) on my 128i. Is 32/35 the best tire pressure? For winter I use a square setup with 205/50R17. If I am usually alone in the car and the front/rear ratio is 50/50 then why not the same tire pressure for front and rear?

But he isn't running staggered anymore, therefore those pressures are wrong.

Run 33 PSI all around, since you're not running staggered, the pressures do not simply transfer over from what the manual says

Run 32 squared. I'm on the same tire size and running 32 all around.

That's what I think too but the owner manual for square 205/50R17 M+S specifications are 32/35.

I see no benefit to running more pressure in the rear during winter.
