Scratch Repair... Is this my clearcoat?

I had a shallow scratch on my front bumper near the fmic. I put some paint over it, let it dry for a couple days, sanded it down, and then used Meguire's Ultimate on it (clear coat safe). Then this started to happen and I'm not sure what I'm looking at or how to repair it... The more I used Megiure's, the bigger this got. The black spot is paint that began to come up along the edges after using the Meguire's.

Must have over sanded it, you will need to reclear it. Next time I would immediately squeegee the paint that has filled the scratch.

Thanks. Right now it's perfectly smooth, so I wouldn't need to wet sand again. Would I just repaint and add clear coat?
Is there a DIY around for how I can do that?

At this point, unfortunately, it might be worth it to have it done professionally. I'd be wary of trying to repaint the clear on that (relatively) large area.

You sanded all the way through the clear coat and now are sanding away the paint.

Sorry dude you'll have to get whole bumper painted now. I've used Dr Colorchip in the past and have been pleased with the results.
