from Bank of America it takes about a week to order a cashiers check in Euros. you'll have to call customer service to order it and they'll send it to the branch nearest you where you'll have to sign for it.

Yup, and then you will have to send it to the guy in Germany. Hence why I said it will take much longer than a wire transfer.

OH! I was under the impression that you had sent a personal cheque (which is entirely possible). In that case, you should contact Wells Fargo's International Divsion so that they can have words with the bank in Germany (Sparkasse Hochrhein). Because the bank in Germany has destroyed a negotiable instrument issued on the account of Wells Fargo. So technically, that cheque doesn't belong to you. It is the property of Wells Fargo.

I dunno, it just is...maybe 'cause I knew a Dagmar once who was really hot?

The German guys on this forum can clarify whether or not Dagmar is a hot name in Germany.

I have a friend called Dagmar. She is alright. It's more a scandinavian name just like Ingmar as well I think.

Dagmar is definately a (quite ugly) german name. I guess everyone in germany has a aunt called Dagmar.

That kind of aunt who always spited on her handkerchief to wipe some dirt off your face when you were younger..... yuck

That's funny Dante and Robin.

If my Aunt were this Dagmar I'd be having little boy/Auntie fantasies.
