Well, to every Jing there´s a Jang.

I HATE jewlery and bling. Rings certainly are for sissies. And Rolexes are for poseurs. Thanks to CA my keyfob can remain invisible, and I love the beat-up look of my wallet and my phone (see the duct-tape mod on the phone?). Wearing a watch? What am I? Gay?

I can't believe you guys are piling on for what John chooses to spend his $$$ on...

I think the pics look nice, and enjoy looking at them although I personally could not fathom spending the kind of cash to get those kind of watches. I don't even wear a watch, but I appreciate the photos anyways

all the crap about diamond mining is silly too, kanye west is garbage.

keep it up John!

What ever happened to understatement? Even if money was no object I don't think I'd buy a rolex! I don't think I could ever justify spending so much money on a watch.

In any case its a nice watch but not my type. I'd like something less bling like.

I buy what I like - I don't make buying decisions based what other people think, what they like, don't like, etc. I've heard people say they wouldn't buy a Rolex because they wouldn't want people to think this or that...which is as silly to me as buying a Rolex (or BMW for that matter) to be noticed or to impress people.

But that's just me. I like Rolex for their history, their funtionality, their resale value, and personal appeal.

I think there are 4 types of Rolex owners.

1. Pure POSERS. They spent every penny they earned on the watch. No extra cash around, only thing they can show-off is the damn watch. "I feel so proud with this rolex dawg!!!"

2. True enthusiast. They really love the watch. They admire the rolex brand, and they feel honored and happy to own one.

3. Real Richasses. They don't really care for the watch, but they have too much money. They usually wipe their asses with dollar bills. People tell them "Rolex" is teh BLING, so they just got one for fun, to show it off.

4. Little bit of both. They have some cash(enough to spend on a rolex once), and they love the rolex brand watch, always wanted one. They didn't mainly buy it to show-it off, but they get really happy when people drool about it.

Judging by the way you talk, it seems like you are little bit of 2 & 4.

Drew is definitely #1. j/k bro.

buying a rolex watch is an investment.. it will never go out of style, it will last forever, and it will never decrease in value. Basically I really dont have to buy another watch ever again.
