Presumably this is for the M2 with AT. I doubt they would do this in 2015 with any car having 6mt

If I could squeeze it financially, I'd keep the 1, wait for the 2, drive it to see if I love it.

If it blows me away and I just have to have it, then you know what to do. If it doesn't, and you're thinking, hmmm... should I or shouldn't I, I'd keep the 1.

If I had the option, definitely would go with the M2!

I buy cars cash. If you can't do that, then you should be saving your pennies so you can.

As for the M2, it's just another BMW, and you'll tire of it long before it is paid for. The One on the other hand, will provide as much entertainment as any BMW at a much lower price if you shop carefully.

And resale? I really doubt the M2 is going to command any price premium in the used market. The 1M did due to it being such an anomaly in its design.

Im waiting for some of the 1M owners to trade in and buy the M2, wait for a price drop, and then snag a 1M for myself. It's bound to happen. The prices of the 1M has fallen alittle in the EU, but still 40k euro, plus or minus.

Hopefully you'll be able to get your 1M one day, but I don't think that would be a smart decision for a 1M owner. Maybe to add an M2 to their collection, but not to trade in their 1M. It's too special of a car.

It's going to happen, but I honestly doubt the 1M price will ever drop in the US.

there are very few 1M owners currently committed to getting an M2 right now and out of those I know do want an M2----the majority are keeping the 1M as well...

my philosophy is if you want a 1M-----now is the best time as ever...if you can afford it!

I bought my 1M in the summer of 2014 and the prices are currently the same or higher since then so I'm glad I didn't wait...and found the perfect car for me.

What would you guys do??
Of course no one can answer this for you, not knowing your financial situation. It's true that you only live once, but a life of financial recklessness does not sound very satisfying, at least not when the repercussions catch up with you. So balance what you want with what you can afford (not saying you can't afford an M2, just saying none of us know).

Ugh. I HATE the 2er's tail lamps. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Why are they so ugly? I'd also not be very happy with EPS and a computer screen; I love the 1ers simple, purist interior.

You are definitely not the only one. I hate the whole rear section of the 2 series. Love the chiseled rear end of the E82. Also love it's simple, but functional cockpit. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

I'd have a 135/1M any day over an M2.

Also, as others have said, the stupid screen stuck to the dash (in all new BMWs) is a deal killer for me anyway.

^I kind of like that stupid screen haha

But the tail lamps do look terrible, not to mention the front reminds me of a mazda...

I think bmw should drop the M2 and make more 1M's....Or i'll just make my own
