Ground Clearance?
For the lucky owners of the 1M, what is the ground clearance of the lowest point of the front bumper? Is there a felt like material like the E92 M3s?

Be very careful.
I haven't checked, but if it's anything like my E91 330D then one can snag the bumper over a kerb and almost rip it off! The underneath of the front buumper on my 330D looked like a tiger had been fighting with it. I'll post pics later. Not a pretty sight. |

I've already scraped the bottom of the spoiler going up a driveway that was steeper than I thought. I hate it when it's so loud everyone turns and looks! |

Should be fun in those deep ruts on the side streets, no?

Seems like it's higher than the E92 and E46 M3. That's good. Last edited by !mspinster; 06-23-2011 at 11:46 AM.. |

Can someone please specify the official ground clearance figure of the 1M (stock ride height) ? At first glance, it ain't mentioned in official docs ("Details not yet available") and I never measured it. Your 6" (152 mm) figure seems quite more than I assume. Comparison:

Ok, got the answer. Official 1M ground clearance figure is 120 mm (same as M3/M4).
So:
