PPK and Tuning

Hey guys I just bought my 2011 135i and I already want to change up the exhaust note a bit. I already have done the golf tee mod but that does not cut it for me. What I am think of doing is buying used vrsf hatless down pipes to unleash the sound of the n55 but I would also need to get a tuner to clear the code. Im planning on getting the MHD flash because it seems better than the JB4 due to my research. Now the question I have for you is that I have The performance power kit installed in my car. Does tuning the car with any flash tuner create any problem with that? Would I need to remove the PPK? Does the PPK not work anymore? Can I run any tune with the PPK? Also if anyone has some 135i n55 catless downpipes for sale PM me! Thanks!

I actually just went through with this. Car came with PPK installed. I installed MHD + a tune, never lost my sweet exhaust note.

A possible simple solution is to get the BMW performance exhaust. It changes the tone and volume and really let's the tunes shine with the pops and burbles. I've got an '11 135i with it and a Cobb flash and I love the sound. I've read here the PPK sounds similar.

I'd consider that as a starting point and then doing more upstream work if you need more sound or want the performance boost. It's not that expensive nor difficult of a job to do the performance exhaust.
