M3 should start at 45k, and get up to just about 58k fully loaded. It's about 10k too expensive IMO.
It is not 20k better than the 335i, and certainly isn't up to taking on the serious players at 70k. For 70k, I'd take a GTR without thinking twice. I could also get a Cayman S loaded to the gills, or spend a couple thousand more for a 997. |

If you can't tell the difference between an M3 and a 335i after a drive, then by all means, save the money and get the cheaper car. It still has the BMW badge and will go fast in a straight line as you race down Sunset Blvd on the way to your next valet.
