WTB 128i Cabrio 6MT
I know, these are very hard to find, especially in California. Just thought I'd throw this out there. Thanks.

One in AZ and two in CA. CA ones look a bit rough in some areas. No affiliation.

Hey, thanks. I have been stalking two of these on FB, didn't think to search OU. They all look a bit "rough", but I can live with a bit of roughness. I appreciate your time.

so, still in the hunt. I drove a 328i yesterday and was pretty underwhelmed with the lack of power. I still haven't driven a 128i, but now I'm doubting if it will be "enough." I'm drawn to the dependability of the N52, but the 135i Msport I drove a few weeks ago I really regret buying (it sold last weekend.) Will the extra couple lbs of a 128 make the N52 more fun, or do I swallow the red pill and go 35i instead, with all the plumbing and reliability headaches?
I realize this has been over-killed for years, sorry for the redundancy. |

If it is any help, when I went looking, I knew I wanted a convertible so I tried both 128 & 135. Drove multiple 128s, and a couple of 135s. Stumbled across a 135i with a Dinan badge on the back. Did not know what that meant at the time, but it was clearly my favorite and slightly more expensive than the others, but the performance was what I wanted. Have not regretted it.

Yeah, thanks, that's a lucky draw. I only want a weekend/fun car, the N54 plumbing was scaring me away but the torque is undeniable. I blew it on the perfect car (135 Msport) thinking the 128 would be "safer", but the 328 I drove yesterday was pretty anemic. SoCal market is rough for convertibles, especially manual trannies. I'm trying to be patient.
