California Orders
Anyone in Ca have a production # yet? My dealer is telling me they don't have allocation numbers beyond the one demo they ordered.

I ordered from Long beach. My was the only allocation after the dealer's 2 demos. He said the allocation will probably come a month later.

You Cali folks shouldn't give up hope. Things seem to be happening faster than originally expected. Appears that BMW is rushing to build as many 1 series as possible for the US March 22nd rollout.

My dealer called Thursday. I was #1 on their list, since August, yet he said they sold 2 cars to walk-ins before he called me. Go figure.
Anyway, he said their first allocation was 7 135i's, and they had some left over after waiting list and 2 walk-ins. Clearly not overwhelming demand, yet. He says they (Concord, CA) are one of the top 10 volume dealers in the country so maybe other dealers were allocated less than 7. |
