Steering wheel upgrade

I have ordered a 330i without sport package and would like to know if it is possible to order a sport steering wheel and swap them. Does anyone know where I can order one from? Do I need to buy a new airbag too? How much would the labor charge be?

seems to me that it would be VERY pricy... I wish I had the sport wheel on mine too but I am going to settle for the regular, I figure its not that bad and hey its still a bimmer wheel...:-)

The sport steering wheel will cost 270 Euro and you have to get a new airbagmodule, this will cost 393 Euro for 4-cylinders and 498 Euro for the 6-cylinders. And you are not allowed to install it yourself...so...very pricy.

270+498=768 Euro or $947.10 USD. Once you add in labor you are only a few hundred bucks away from the cost of the whole sports package.

Its just a steering wheel you will love the car anyway.

If you were to upgrade the wheel, think about the Hartge.
Very nice looking.

Now that would be worth the money.

I thought it would be possible to get it as an accessory when you order the car, like it was for the E46, but that doesn't seem to be the case in the US anymore. And ordering it as a separate part and paying for the installation would be too expensive.

On the other hand, the standard steering wheel is now a 3-spoke model - not as nice as the sport one, but acceptable.

The stock steering wheel is $392.24 while the sport pkg. steering wheel is $299.31. I can't believe stock steering wheel is more expensive!!!

Maybe I won't feel so bad about my stock steering wheel any more!
